Parish news

♦Donations of Clorox/Lysol wipes would be appreciated. Thank you to those who have already donated. Due to the short supply of Clorox wipes and in the interest of keeping costs down, there are reusable wipes and antibacterial spray on the table. Spray the towels, not the pews. Used wipes may be put in the pan to be laundered.

VBS - Update

All activities are on hold until we can safely meet again.

Mass and Eucharist

Consider daily Mass as an opportunity to participate in the Mass and receive the Eucharist while the dispensation for weekend Mass is still in effect.

Religious Ed DRE and teachers will be recognized at the Masses on September 19th & 20th. We ask God to bless all students and adults as they share the Catholic faith. Bless all parents and grandparents who are our first teachers and continue to encourage growth in faith, hope and love of Jesus and Mary his mother.

It is our privilege to celebrate Priesthood Sunday on September 27th, 2020. Priesthood Sunday serves two, very important purposes: to show appreciation and love for the men who have responded to Christ's call to holy priesthood and to encourage those who may have a calling to a priestly vocation.

Ideas for celebrating Priesthood Sunday:
•Pray for your parish priest and for all who have served your parish.
•Send a card in the mail to past and present priests in appreciation.
•Pray a Holy Hour or Rosary for priests.
•A small gift or gift card to show gratitude to your pastor.
•Hand-made cards from young parishioners are greatly appreciated.

Linus Blanket Tying Day

St. Patrick Altar society is hosting the first of two Linus Blanket Tying days on Sunday September 27th after the 10:00 AM Mass. We will meet again to finish the project on Sunday October 25th after Mass.

Parish Clean-Up Day

Your help is needed on Saturday October 24th to clean up the parish grounds. Bring a rake, gloves and a hand trimmer as we cut back the foliage and prepare for the winter months.

Pastoral Council

We welcome Matt Marquardt as the new PC President and Rachel Olson as the new Vice President. Ellen Eriksen will continue to serve as our faithful Secretary. Denny Connealy & Cindy Chatt serve the parish as they continue their term. A big “thank you” to Kim Blackford and John Raleigh (the former president) who finished their terms and we wish John and his wife Shirley happiness and good health as they move back to their home in Omaha.

First Friday Eucharistic Adoration

Beginning Oct. 2nd, St. Patrick will offer a half hour of Eucharistic Adoration after the 8:30 AM Mass.

October - Month of the Rosary

We would appreciate volunteers to lead the Rosary. Anyone can volunteer to help lead the prayers on these evenings. See what the power of prayer can do!
